公司知道，這一陣子大家都辛苦了，尤其是分店的同事！都看到前兩天的員工通訊了吧，我們的顧客也都看到你們的辛苦付出，給了很多的肯定與感激。
大家都知道，現在整個社區比任何時間都需要我們。為了保護好大統華這個購物環境的安全，公司也推出了很多保護員工的措施，像發口罩、眼罩，區隔分散員工休息環境等等，公司還將有薪病假延長到 5 天，並且讓同事省去向家庭醫師索取醫生紙的麻煩，好讓有流感症狀同事可安心在家休息。
原本這 5 天有薪病假，是要留給真正需要的同事，但是這幾天下來，發現有少部份分店同事辜負了公司的好意，錯將它當作一種福利來使用，造成部門的人手不足，接連也就影響到分店的備貨、正常運作，如果再這樣下去，最後就是讓我們的顧客、甚至你家、我家的民生需求無法滿足。
記得好幾年前，公司保險是有 cover 針灸項目的，但後來有不少同事虛報浮用，尤其在某位員工一家人都買了護膝、護腰等各種護具、卻以針灸收據申報請款時，被保險公司檢舉，公司也就取消了針灸這項目。這次，公司實在不希望看到類似情況發生。
所以希望大家把這 5 天有薪病假，留給那些真正需要的人，而其他每位健康的同事，都能繼續留在自己的工作崗位上，繼續服務鄉里、服務社區。
這是一個前所未有的災變，需要大家共同冷靜、專業面對、做正確的事。讓我們相互關懷、打氣加油、共渡難關。走筆至此，請給自己連續兩個愛的鼓勵吧！
Paid Sick Leave – For those in need
Everyone is working hard, especially our stores colleagues. You might already saw the T&T newsletter two days ago. It showed that your hard work and dedication has been recognized and appreciated by our customers.
We all know that the community needs us more than ever. In order to create a safe shopping environment in T&T, the company carries out a variety of measures to protect our employees, such as handing out face masks, goggles and practice distancing in staff break, etc. The company also extended the paid sick leave to 5 days, which saves colleagues (with flu like symptoms) the hassle of getting doctor’s note and have more time to rest.
The 5 days paid sick leave is for those who in need. However, recently a few store colleagues abused the sick leave and caused shortage of staff in departments. This also affected the stock replenishment and daily operation, which might end up that our customers, even our families cannot purchase their daily necessities.
A few years ago, the company’s health benefit covered the acupuncture claim, but a number of colleagues made false claim. There was a staff who bought all kinds of protection gears for family and claimed the expense as acupuncture. The insurance reported the fake claim to our company, which the company decided to cancel the coverage for acupuncture. This time, the company hope not to see the same condition again.
Please make sure the 5 days paid sick leave are given to those in need. Hope our healthy colleagues can work on their duties and keep serving our neighbors and our community.
