平凡的力量


伴隨著時光的腳步,大統華走過了29個春夏秋冬,同事們在平凡工作中發熱發亮的每一刻,點點滴滴都感動著我。收貨部Sam就是這樣的一位員工。


Sam自入職起一直很盡責,嚴格履行公司的收貨制度,認真管控損耗,隨時督導現場管理。同時,他很有耐心培訓同事,做到未雨綢繆,讓有突發狀況時,有人能及時補位,使收貨工作得以順利進行。


值得一提的是,由於新冠疫情反覆,導致其它分店收貨部人手不足。雖然我們收貨部也只有Sam一人,但他知道後,立即主動放棄休息時間,帶領和指導一名收銀部同事到兄弟店幫忙。在一人兼顧兩店之下,Sam及時緩解了人手緊絀的問題,這種承擔感,實在令人敬佩。

「哪裏需要去哪裏」是Sam的工作原則。當公司總倉有需要時,Sam又一如既往地主動請纓,以公司利益爲重,圓滿完成任務。因此,他勇於承擔的出色表現,可謂贏盡口碑。在「2021年度卑詩省最佳員工」評選中,Sam不負衆望,一舉奪得第一名。

不墨守成規,學會創新求變


今天我要給大家介紹我們MT新上任的副主管Zackary。他對工作高度負責,勤勞、勇於創新,又熱心助人,MT沒有不知道他的同事。每次提起他,每個人都會舉起拇指說好。


本來在Cashier部門的Zackary,由於表現卓越,所以在上個月榮升分店電商部 (Fulfillment) 副主管。通過兩個星期不斷地學習和研究,他發現了提升我們現有揀貨模式效率的方法。本來我們網上的訂單量龐大,每天需列印大量紙張,加上人手揀單,既費時又容易出錯。Zackary引入全新方法,把工序電子化,縮減人手揀單的時間,又省下大量墨水和紙張,建立出一個高效且環保的無紙化辦公模式。

全因為Zackary勇於創新和不斷探究的精神,讓我們可以做得更好。相信他會在分店電商部發揮他優秀的工作能力,創造更多價值!

食品安全不容出錯


食品安全把關是大統華非常重視的價值觀,公司嚴格要求員工遵守所有相關規定。


分店廚食部和麵包部製作完食品後,有可能會安排試吃,以確保產品品質。然而,近日發現幾位同事違反試吃的規定,包括未經批准試吃、過量試吃、或是給無關的同事試吃。不僅如此,同事還在不適當的地點進行試吃。


同事因貪求一時方便或覺得不會有人發現,違反了員工守則“內部商品品質檢驗"規定,不適當的試吃會造成食品安全隱患。試吃品亦屬公司財產,未經付款不得隨意轉贈他人,員工的違規行為不僅為部門帶來損失,亦與公司誠實正直的文化背道而馳。


公司文化與價值觀,有賴所有同事共同努力遵守。食品質量及安全是公司最重視的環節之一,正因爲如此,違反規定的員工被給予紀律處分,並再次進行教育。食品安全是不容出錯的,因此同事必須嚴謹遵守所有相關規定,大統華才能不斷提供高質量的產品。

Power of the Ordinary

Time flies and T&T has walked through 29 years. I’ve witnessed many moments of greatness from our colleagues in the midst of their ordinary everyday work. Sam from the Receiving Department is one such employee.


From the day Sam joined us, he has been always responsible, strictly carrying out the company’s receiving policies, managing shrinkage, and always ready to supervise on-site management. He also trains coworkers patiently to ensure someone could fill in and run the department smoothly when there is an emergency.


Although Sam is the only staff in our Receiving Department, when another store was short-staffed due to recurring waves and outbreaks of COVID-19, Sam voluntarily gave up his breaks, led and guided a Cashier coworker to offer help. Sam resolved the staffing issues timely while taking care of two stores. His dedication is admirable.

Sam’s motto is “to go wherever help is needed”. When warehouse needed help, Sam again didn’t hesitate to offer his help and successfully completed the task. He has earned an incredible reputation through his outstanding performance, so it didn’t come as a surprise when Sam won the 2021 Best BC Employee Award.


Sam, you are the pride of our First Avenue branch. Thank you for your dedication, it’s great to have you here!

Embrace change and not to stick to traditional ways


Allow me to introduce MT’s newly appointed Assistant Department Head (ADH) Zackary. He is responsible, hardworking, dares to innovate, and always willing to help. Everyone at MT knows him, and whenever he is mentioned, everyone sings his praises.


Due to Zackary’s outstanding performance, he was promoted as the Fulfillment ADH from the Cashier Department. After just two weeks of continuous learning and research, he discovered the way to improve the efficiency of our existing order picking process. Due to the large volume of online orders, it’s very time consuming to print and select the orders manually. Zackary digitalized the entire process, shortened the order selection process and saved a significant amount of ink and paper. Thereby establishing an efficient and environmentally friendly paperless office model.

Due to Zackary’s spirit of innovation and continuous exploration, improvements has been made. I trust he will continue to showcase his stellar work at the E-commerce department!

Food safety leaves no margin for error


T&T places extreme value in “food we can trust” and requires employees to strictly abide by all relevant regulations.


To ensure quality, food sampling may be arranged when food products of Kitchen and Bakery Department are ready. However, recently a few colleagues were found violating the food sampling rules, including unapproved sampling, excessive consumption, sampling with unrelated coworkers, and even sampling at inappropriate locations.


Employees violated rules of “Sample for food quality (Internal)” stated in the Staff Handbook out of convenience, assuming no one would find out. Inappropriate food sampling can result in food safety hazards. Moreover, sample food is company’s property that cannot be given out without payment. These violations have not only resulted in department losses, but also goes against the company’s culture of integrity.


A company’s culture and values rely on compliance from every employee. Food safety and quality assurance is our company’s top priority, thus employees who violated the rules have faced disciplinary actions and are undergoing training again. Food safety leaves no margin for error. Employees must strictly abide by all regulations so that T&T could keep providing high-quality products.
