慶祝大統華Passmore

東岸大倉庫大啟用


親愛的夥伴們,

 

2月22日,我們在安省Passmore Avenue的新倉庫正式啟用。雖然倉庫啟用不會像新店開業那樣大張旗鼓慶祝,但這一大倉庫的啟用對大統華來說真的意義非凡,我非常高興能跟大家一起邁進這一新里程碑。



大家都知道,增長是我們2024年的重點,今年我們要新開4家店!如果沒有對供應鏈基礎設施投資,這樣的發展速度根本是不可能的。而正因為有了這個新倉庫,我們才能在安省London, Kanata, 多倫多Downtown和魁省Brossard開新店。此外,原來的倉庫搬到新址,正好可以空出地方擴建中央廚房和冷藏設施,這意味著我們將能以更高的效率,服務東岸現有分店。

 

我們倉儲配送和工程部門的好夥伴一直在投入心血,為這座占地214,000平方呎的新倉庫盡心盡力。我要特別感謝所有參與的同事,包括工程部施工經理Brian Lau、倉儲配送部經理Randy Chiu,以及IT部門的Jason Li和Vick Tse,正是由於他們,才使這一切成為可能。

 


現在正是大統華歷史上的關鍵時刻,我們正處於加速發展的階段。看著明亮寬敞的新倉庫,讓我們既感自豪,又有壓力。自豪的是:一排排貨架像摩天樓一樣聳立在我們面前,提醒著我們正站在令人難以置信的發展勢頭上,作為大統華的一員,這真是激勵人心的時刻。而壓力呢:新倉庫能支援我們在加國開出更多新店,現在開始正是要完成這些任務的時候,這需要完美的執行力和緊迫感,可能會讓我們比以往更加吃力。幸運的是,我們有一支出色的團隊,在大家上下一心的合作下,相信新倉庫一定會生機蓬勃,讓我們每一個增長願望都能實現。

收銀部的Hannah 

(Park Royal分店) 分店行政部Macy Wong


收銀部Hannah勤勉負責,工作態度得到同事的認可。因此,工作不到一年半,她便通過了主管培訓面試。


Hannah是一位盡責、用功和勤奮的同事。她經常確保部門順利營運,完成工作後,她會協助歸還遺留在收銀台的物品,還幫忙訓練和指導新同事。


當有同事缺席時,她總是主動承擔額外的工作,並且把工作圓滿地完成。例如,之前有幾位同事因暴風雪而無法上班,Hannah在接到部門的電話後,立即回分店幫忙。人手不足時,她甚至加班一整天以減輕部門的壓力。哪裡有需要,她都會盡力填補,幫助部門解決人手短缺的問題,從不抱怨。



這種勇於承擔責任、樂於助人的精神,真值得我們讚賞和學習。相信她的故事可以激勵更多同事團結一致和承擔責任,並更投入參與於部門工作中,使大統華的業務越來越好。


緊貼時代 創新求變

(分店支援中心) 商品部Emily Shi


作為健康和美容(HABA)商品的採購員,除了常規項目、服務分店和檢視生意外,最重要的是跟上潮流,引進新商品,把新的化妝品以最快的速度送到分店,引起顧客的購買慾,提高銷售額。


可是,有一些最新的潮流商品,銷售成績還是不如預期。經過分析之後,我發現是宣傳力度不足所致。一路以來,HABA商品主要是靠分店的美妝顧問(BA),也就是銷售小姐姐來宣傳。她們會在分店內向顧客推銷和介紹產品,帶出很好的宣傳作用。然而,BA主要是提供現場服務,有一定的侷限性;而沒有BA的分店就更加少了宣傳的渠道。


想到社群運營主任(LCS)都會在小紅書、顧客微信群等社交平台宣傳商品和舉辦特價活動,我就想和LCS合作,緊貼時代發展,把HABA的宣傳由線下擴大到線上。商品採購經理Simon十分支持我的想法,並協助我找宣傳組的同事進行討論。在此感謝宣傳組和營運部的積極配合,使更多HABA新品能在各社交平台推廣。



我們都說:唯變不變,創新求變。當發現問題時,嘗試以新方法改善狀況,加上各部門的互助合作,這就是贏的文化。





圖利親友的收銀員

資產保護部


收銀員A多次為她的男友提供收銀服務,透過未正確掃描商品、取消收銀系統交易記錄等手法,讓男友少付金錢從中獲得私人利益。他們的行為被視為「串謀盜竊」,經查辦,A最終被立即解僱,並被移送警方進一步調查。


資產保護部自成立以來,配合公司逐步完善内部監控機制,現已建立了以人員偵察、技術監控及數據分析為一體的自動監控和預警系統,系統可自動過濾出内部的所有非正常交易。目前資產保護部門已根據這些數據,成功追查出多次違反誠信的行爲。


誠實正直是大統華贏的文化的第一條。任何員工違反公司與誠信相關的規章制度,或觸犯刑事罪行,都可導致紀律處分,包括終止雇傭關係和/或刑事指控。請所有員工以此爲戒,遵守法律法規和公司的規章制度,共創一個誠實正直的工作環境。

Celebrating the Grand Opening of our Passmore Warehouse


Dear Team,

 

On February 22, we opened the doors to our new warehouse at 985 Passmore Avenue in Ontario. While occasions like these don’t usually get the same public fanfare as our new store announcements, the opening of our new warehouse is extremely meaningful for T&T, and I could not be more excited to celebrate this milestone with all of you.

 


As you already know, growth is our focus in 2024. We are opening 4 stores this year! This speed of development would not be possible without investments in supply chain infrastructure. We are able to open our new stores in London, ON, Kanata, ON, Downtown, ON, and Brossard, QC because of this new warehouse. In addition, moving the warehouse allows us to expand our central kitchen and refrigeration facilities. This means we’ll be able to serve our existing store network with greater efficiency.

 

Our wonderful colleagues across Warehouse & Distribution and Engineering have been working tirelessly to make this 214,000 square foot facility ready. I would like to extend my special thanks to everyone involved in this project, including our Construction Manager Brian Lau from Engineering, our W&D Manager Randy Chiu, as well as Jason Li and Vick Tse from IT for making this possible.

 


This is a pivotal time in T&T’s history as we shift to a phase of accelerated growth. Looking at the bright and spacious warehouse should make us feel a sense of pride and pressure. Pride: that the row upon rows of shelves that tower over us like skyscrapers is a reminder we stand at the precipice of the incredible business momentum that is to follow. It is a thrilling time to be a part of the T&T team. Pressure: that now is the time to accelerate store openings. The new warehouse allows us to open more stores in Canada, and now it’s time to deliver those stores. This will require flawless execution and a sense of urgency that may stretch us more than ever before. Fortunately, we have an amazing team, and with your help, I am certain that the new warehouse will be bursting at the seams with activity and that every one of our growth aspirations will be realized.

Hannah in the Cashier Department

(Park Royal Store) Store Admin Dept Macy Wong


Hannah works in the Cashier Department. Her diligent and responsible work attitude has been recognized by her colleagues. In less than a year and a half, she passed the Supervisor Trainee interview.


Hannah is conscientious, studious, and hard-working. She always ensures that the department is running smoothly. After completing her duties, she assists in returning items stacked on the counters. She also trains and mentors new colleagues.


When someone is absent, she always takes the initiative to take extra work and complete it well. For example, a few colleagues were absent due a snowstorm. Hannah came back to help after receiving a call from the department. When there was a shortage of staff, she even worked overtime for a whole day to alleviate the pressure on the department. She always tries her best to fill vacancies in all aspects and help the department alleviate staff shortage, and never complains.



This spirit of courage to take responsibility and help others is worthy of appreciation and learning. We believe her story can inspire more colleagues to work together, be responsible, and become more involved in the department, making T&T Supermarket more prosperous.



Staying current, embracing innovation

(Store Support Centre) Merchandising Dept. Emily Shi


As a health and beauty (HABA) product buyer, besides handling routine tasks, servicing stores and reviewing sales, a key responsibility is to stay on top of trends. Bringing in new products, especially the latest cosmetics, timely to spark customers’ purchasing desire and boosts sales.


However, some of the latest trendy products didn't meet the expected sales performance. Upon analysis, I identified the issue - insufficient promotion. HABA products traditionally relied heavily on the in-store promotion by the Beauty Advisors (BA). The BAs actively sell and introduce products to customers in the store, and have proven to be effective. But onsite services come with certain limitations, and stores without BAs have even fewer channels for promotion.


Contemplating how LCS promotes products and orchestrates events on social media platforms like Little Red Book and customer WeChat groups, I believe collaborating with LCS would expand HABA's promotion from offline to online. Senior Category Manager Simon enthusiastically supported me and assisted in reaching out the Marketing Department. Thanks to both Marketing and Operations Department for their active cooperation, HABA's new products can be promoted on various social media platforms.



We all say: "Embrace change, pursue innovation." When challenges arise, we actively seek new approaches to improve the situation, coupled with mutual cooperation between departments - that's the winning culture.






Cashier exploits position for personal gain

Asset Protection Dept.


Cashier A consistently provided checkout services for her boyfriend, utilizing methods such as improper scanning and cancelling transaction records in the checkout system, enabling her boyfriend to pay less and reap personal benefits. Their actions are deemed "conspiracy to commit theft", leading to immediate termination upon investigation. A has been handed over to the police for further investigation.


Since it's establishment, the Asset Protection Department has worked in conjunction with the company to gradually perfect the internal monitoring mechanism, and has now implemented an automated monitoring and early warning system that integrates personnel reconnaissance, technical surveillance and data analysis. The system can automatically filter out any abnormal transactions within the company. To date, the Asset Protection Department has successfully investigated multiple cases of integrity violations based on this data.


“Upholding integrity” is the foremost principles of T&T's winning culture. Anyone found in violation of the company's integrity-related rules, or commits criminal offenses may face disciplinary action, including termination of employment and/or criminal charges. We strongly encourage all employees to to adhere to laws and the company's regulations, and work together to foster a workplace characterized by integrity.
