擁抱2024年的新機遇!


親愛的夥伴們,

 

新年快樂!

 


新一年的開始,總是令人興奮,同時也是一個好時機,讓我們聚焦今年的目標。對大統華來說,今年比以往任何一年都更加關鍵,在此我要與大家分享2024年我們最重要的兩大目標:

 

1.  在美國成功開出第一家新店,並為開出更多分店做好準備

這是我們2024年最重要的里程碑之一。這不僅僅是我們的擴張計劃,更是我們為顧客創造價值以及大家為大統華盡心付出的證明。第一家新店位於華盛頓州的貝爾維尤,標誌著我們進軍美國的起點。大家已在籌備這個計畫上付出了巨大的心血,包括建立美國團隊、設計店面空間、確保基礎設施、流程和程序的順利運作。這是一個絕佳的機會,能讓我們在一個全新的舞台上,展示已深受加拿大顧客喜愛的獨特購物體驗。

 

2.  積極搶占加國市場份額

回頭看加拿大國內,我們仍會聚焦服務更多社區,傳遞美食之樂。今年我們會在加東新開4家新店,包括Kanata, ON; London, ON; Toronto, ON; and Brossard, QC。我們精心選擇這些地點,不僅是為了擴大服務規模,更是為了讓更多的加拿大消費家庭享受到我們的服務。為了支持這一增長,我們將持續投資基礎設施,包括在2024年擴建安省倉庫和中央工廠,這意味著我們將為大統華的發展和未來投資超過6,000萬加幣,這也是我們在加拿大確保領先地位的重要一步。

 

對我們大統華大家庭來說,這還意味著什麼呢?這不僅僅是店數或面積的增長,更意味著我們團隊的擴大。這種擴張為個人和職涯發展帶來了大量機會。我們將創造大量工作崗位,為大家提供在大統華永續發展的機會。

 

這也意味著我們可以將美食之樂傳遞給更多的人。我們所有計劃的核心,就是對顧客的承諾。擁有更多的分店和優秀的團隊,我們才能夠更好、更高效地為顧客服務。我們的目標是持續提供物超所值的優質產品。

平凡的崗位,傾心的奉獻


我們大多數都是平凡人,從事平凡的工作。然而,只要有一顆不懼平凡的心,一樣能發光發熱。


Paula剛進大統華時在廚食部工作,盡忠職守,以飽滿的工作熱情迎接每一天,以蓬勃的朝氣迅速融入團隊,積極參加公司活動,更在今年的大統華自有品牌視頻比賽中榮獲銀獎。



Paula有積極的工作態度和責任心,讓她獲得更多的機會。在我們分店有LCS空缺時,Paula馬上就被推薦了。而她也用一貫良好的工作狀態和熱情,一心撲在這個崗位上。我們每一天都能在外場看到她歡樂的身影,要麽在邀請顧客進入微信群、關注小紅書和FACEBOOK,要麽幫助顧客下載公司的APP,要麽就在Demo區熱情地推銷產品,總是把各項工作做得出色妥貼,用實際行動詮釋了專業盡全力。


就是這種投入度、積極的態度和責任心,以及持續的學習和成長,讓Paula在職場中脫穎而出,成為職場之星,向員工們傳遞了一份正能量。

尊重專業,互助合作


時光飛快,加入大統華已經兩年多了,我經歷了新移民對生活的無所適從,到加入大統華後的持續成長;從對項目本身的認知,到對公司文化的了解,這一切都對我的人生歷練產生了深遠的影響,我相信很多很多年之後,這些仍然會是令我難以忘懷的回憶。


感謝公司提供多元的資源,讓我有發揮的舞台。從市場營銷的角度看待設計和包裝,再到與第三方的合作,帶給顧客驚喜與福利,藉此優化和修復項目内部的問題。這些具有挑戰性的項目,一個接一個的來臨,讓我滿足地參與其中。



令我感動與充滿力量的是,公司每一位同事的通力合作。近期我們完成了大統華第一次的禮品卡兌換項目。從財務團隊的前期測算,到IT團隊的系統修改與配置,及店内收銀團隊的大力推廣,最終我們以優異的成績完成了這一次突破性的嘗試,為大統華的會員項目帶來了更多的可能性。


感謝大統華這個大家庭帶給我的溫暖與力量,在未來我會繼續努力,和身邊的同事一起加油前進。

注意恰當的社交距離


不是所有的工作場所都有足夠大的空間,在狹窄的過道上,或者在狹小的冷庫裡,如果你正在工作,另一名異性員工什麽都不說,就從你旁邊擠過去,並且有輕微的擦碰,是否會讓你覺得不受尊重或不太舒服?


有的同事可能覺得這只是小事,但這樣的事情確實在我們店裡發生,並且引起了員工投訴,其實原本只需要提前問一句「不好意思,能借過一下嗎?」就可以避免發生。看似簡單的問題,卻因為有些同事無所謂或者不拘小節的態度,而造成了工作場所的糾紛。更有甚者,如果經過調查發現是員工故意為之,那就會因爲「騷擾」而受到進一步紀律處分,因此這不是小事。


同事間的相處,請記得要禮貌待人,並注意恰當的社交距離。同事間的矛盾,可能只需要一句友善的問候、事先的徵詢或真誠的道歉,就根本不會發生或者可以儘快化解。下次在狹小的空間,如果需要經過正在工作的同事,請務必提前問一聲能否借過,等別人知道或讓開再過,以避免誤會。這件事情,就是這麽簡單。

Embracing new opportunities in 2024


Dear Team,

 

Happy New Year!

 


The start of a new year is always an exciting time – a chance to reflect, reset, and refocus on our goals. This year, more than ever, is a pivotal moment for our company. I want to take this opportunity to share with you two of our 2024 CEO Goals for the year ahead.


1.  Successfully open first store in the US and be ready for more

One of our most significant milestones for 2024 is the opening of our first store in the United States. This is more than just an expansion, this is a testament to the value we bring to customers, and the dedication each of you has put into our brand. The new store, located in Bellevue, Washington, is just the beginning of our journey. Everyone has worked so hard to plan for the first store – setting up the US team, designing the space, and implementing the infrastructure, processes and procedures to ensure our success. This is a chance for us to showcase our unique shopping experience that our Canadian customers love, on a whole new stage.

 

2.  Aggressively capture Canadian market share

Back home, our focus is on serving more customers and spreading our food for joy. This year, we are excited to announce the opening of 4 new stores in the Eastern Region. These locations (Kanata, ON, London, ON, Toronto, ON, and Brossard, QC) have been strategically chosen to not only increase our presence but also to bring what we offer closer to home for more Canadians. To support this growth, we need to continue to invest in infrastructure in Canada, including an expansion of the Ontario warehouse and central commissary in 2024. Together, this represents an investment of over $60MM in our growth and future and is a big step in securing our position as a leading retailer in Canada.

 

What does this mean for our big T&T Family? This growth is not just about store count or square footage; it’s about our people. This expansion brings with it a wealth of opportunities for personal and professional growth. We are looking at substantial job creation, offering all of us a chance to advance our careers with T&T.

 

It also means we can spread our food for joy to more people. At the heart of all our plans is our commitment to our customers. With more stores and talent, we can serve our customers better and more efficiently. Our aim is to continue providing the highest quality products at great value for money.

 

To achieve our 2024 goals, we all need to work together. As we embark on this ambitious and exciting journey, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each one of you. Let’s step into 2024 with a shared vision of growth, excellence, and unparalleled service for our customers.

 

Here’s to a year of new opportunities, challenges, and achievements – together.

Genuine dedication in our ordinary roles


The majority of us are normal people, working a regular job. Yet, with a fearless heart embracing the ordinary, one can still shine brightly.


Paula worked in the Kitchen Department when she first joined T&T, she was responsible and welcomed each day at work with enthusiasm. She quickly became a part of the team with her vibrant energy, actively participating in the company's events, and even winning the silver award at the T&T private label video competition this year.



Paula has a proactive work attitude and a strong sense of responsibility, allowing her to gain more opportunities. When our store had an opening for LCS, Paula was immediately recommended for the job. She embraced the position, showcasing her excellent work ethic and enthusiasm. We can see her joyful presence in the store everyday, inviting customers to join the WeChat group, promoting on Red and Facebook, helping customers download the company's app or enthusiastically promoting products in the Demo area, always excelling at each task and giving her best through practical actions.


It is this level of commitment, positive attitude and sense of responsibility, as well as continuous learning and growth that has set Paula apart. She has become a shining star at work, radiating positive energy to all her colleagues.

Respecting professionalism and helping one another


Time flies, it's already been two years since I joined T&T. From experiencing the disorientation of a new immigrant, to the continuous growth after joining T&T; from understanding projects to grasping company culture, all of this made an impact to me. I believe that many years down the road, these will still be unforgettable memories in my life.


Thank you to the company for providing diverse resources and a platform for me to demonstrate my skills. From a marketing standpoint, involving design and packaging, working with third parties to bring surprise and benefits to customers, this has facilitated the optimization and resolution of internal project issues. These challenging projects which came one after one, have allowed me to actively engage and find fulfillment.



What has moved and empowered me is the collective efforts of every colleague. We recently completed T&T's first gift card redemption project. From the F&A's preliminary calculations, to system modifications and configurations by the IT team, and enthusiastic promotion by the store's Cashier Department, we achieved outstanding results in this groundbreaking endeavour, bringing more possibilities to T&T's membership program.


I am grateful to our big family here at T&T for giving me warmth and strength. I will continue to work hard and move forward together with my colleagues.

Be mindful of appropriate social distancing 


Not every workplace offers ample space. Imagine working in a narrow aisle or a tiny freezer, and a colleague of the opposite sex squeezes past you, making light contact without saying a single word when you're working, wouldn’t this lack of communication make you feel disrespected or uncomfortable?


Some colleagues may think of this as a trivial matter, but these incidents do happen at our store and results in complaints. This can all be avoided by simply asking, "Excuse me, may I pass?" A seemingly straightforward issue has escalated into workplace disputes all due to the indifferent or careless attitudes of some colleagues. If an investigation finds the person in question intentionally caused the situation, it can result in further disciplinary actions for harassment, which is no trivial matter.


Please remember to be polite and be mindful of appropriate social distancing. Workplace conflicts may be prevented or resolved quickly with only a friendly greeting, proactive inquiry or sincere apology. Next time you're in a cramped space, if you need to move past a colleague, please ask beforehand, so that they are aware and can move over to avoid any misunderstandings. It's as simple as that.
