迎難而上,互助合作


在RA店三年多,歷經種種起伏,猶如坐過山車,除了累積了豐富的工作體驗外,還得到了重大的人生啟示。


我剛到RA店時,雖因疫情趕上一波客人搶購物資,使分店業績一下子衝向高峯,但業務也不是一帆風順。幸好當時的店長Steven帶領全店員工,團結一致,撐過一波又一波的艱難時刻。當Cashier部門同事因疫情相繼離職,其他同事都幫忙收推車等打烊前工作;當電商部人手無法應付激增的訂單,各部門員工紛紛支援;當運送餐點往支援中心的人員流失,各部門立即調派人手,確保運送不受影響……部門之間無分彼此,哪裡缺人就去支援。


後來Cliffton店長上任,更鼓勵RA大家庭的同仁,大家必須互助合作才能成功。因此,即使疫情回穩,生意稍有下滑,我們仍堅信齊心就事成。最近分店業績逐漸回升,令人振奮。除此之外,從店長帶頭,到全員齊心協力身體力行,使分店再度在食品安全評核得到好成績。

在這個大家庭,大家一起迎難而上,不氣餒、不驕傲,做好每件事!

無私付出的Pon


時光飛逝,LY店開店快要一年了。這一年裏,我們經歷了開店的繁忙、疫情的加劇、員工流失、人手短缺等問題。作爲超市零售服務業來説,這對每一位員工都是一個挑戰。


收銀部作為超市的最前線,是接觸客人最多的部門。Pon Touvongsa作為第一批進店的收銀員,不管在開店初期,還是到現在,她都一直堅守在最前線,為顧客提供優質服務,讓顧客有賓至如歸的感覺。

Pon在工作中兢兢業業,刻苦耐勞,工作態度十分好,對收銀部工作抱著熱情,常常很有活力又積極主動地為排隊的客人服務,因此一致受到顧客好評。不只這樣,她還會利用自己的空閒時間,為每個收銀台準備易碎品的包裝,是個重視合作、默默付出的好隊員。另外,Pon在每天上班之前,也會提早來到分店,自發地為員工休息室的每個座位和微波爐清潔消毒,把員工休息室收拾得乾乾淨淨。這些本來都不是她崗位上的工作,但Pon就是這樣無私的付出,令人敬佩。


Cashier部門有Pon真好!讓我們也一起努力,讓這個大家庭越來越好!

時時守護個人及食品安全


在分店裏,每個部門、每一崗位及每項工作內容,都有必須遵守的標準流程及守則。這不僅是為了保障工作場所及產品安全,更是為了保障顧客及員工個人的安全。


近期,有位同事於小休時間在店内購買蔬果時,想順便向蔬果部同事借用小刀來削掉蔬菜壞掉的部分,但因該同事不屬於蔬果部門,沒有經過使用刀具處理蔬菜的專業培訓,而且是以顧客身份進行購物,不符合處理蔬果的規定,因而被拒絕了。可是,該同事不但沒認知到自己違反公司規定,還於隔天因此事與蔬果部同事爭論,結果被給予紀律處分。


公司給予處分,不只是因具爭議的行為,更是因該同事沒有安全意識,以及未遵守安全相關的政策與程序,帶來個人及食品安全隱患。事實上,許多看似操作簡單的工作,都有其專業性,每個員工都必須經過專業的訓練和授權,才可上崗使用器具及設備。


公司「專業盡全力」的價值觀,強調的不僅是在工作上的知識及付出,更重要的是與對工作安全相關的規定和隱患的了解。若發現不安全的行為,便應立即改正。反之,如果不具備安全完成工作所需的適當訓練或知識,則不應該接受該工作。展現專業的同時,若沒有持續注意和遵守安全守則,可能會造成嚴重後果。

Rising to the challenge together as one

There were ups and downs, which has been like a rollercoaster ride, I experienced at the RA store in the last three years. Besides accumulating invaluable work experience, I also gained inspiration.


When I first joined the RA store, the store's sales went through the roof due to the panic buying during the pandemic. But it wasn't always smooth sailing. Fortunately, Steven, the store manager at the time, helped unite the entire store to overcome challenge after challenge. When Cashier colleagues left one after the other due to the pandemic, other colleagues helped retrieve shopping carts and tasks before closing; When the Fulfillment Department couldn't handle the large increase in orders, other departments provided support; And when the colleagues who transported meals to the support centre left, other departments immediately helped ensure delivery would not be affected. Every department worked as one and wouldn't hesitate to provide support wherever help was needed.


Later on when Cliffton became store manager, he again united the RA family. Which is why even though business declined slightly when the situation with the pandemic stabilized, we still firmly believed that if we work together, we would achieve success. It's been encouraging to see the store's performance gradually recover, and seeing our store achieve good results in Steritech auditing with Cliffton’s leadership, and the efforts of all employees at the store.

Let's rise to the challenges together as one big family and focus on doing well with each task!

The selfless Pon


Time flies, the LY store has now been open for nearly a year. In this year, we experienced the opening rush, intensification of the pandemic, staff turnover and a shortage in manpower. Suffice to say, it has been a challenge for every employee.


As the front line of a grocery store, the Cashier's Department comes in contact with customers the most. Pon Touvongsa, who was amongst the first group of cashiers to join the store, has been at the forefront since the beginning, providing stellar customer service and making customers feel right at home.

Pon is conscientious, hardworking and possesses a great work attitude. She is enthusiastic and proactive when serving customers in line that earns her praise from customers. She has proven herself to be a great team player who values cooperation and contributes silently. For example, she would use her own time to prepare the packaging for fragile items for each checkout counter, and always early to clean and sanitize every seat and even the microwave in the lunchroom - none of which are tasks within her job description. Pon's selflessness is truly admirable!


Having Pon in the Cashier Department is a blessing! Let's working together and make this big family even better!

Always protect personal and food safety


Each department and position in store have their own standard procedures and rules that must be followed. This is not only to ensure the safety of the workplace and products, but also the safety of customers and employees.


Recently, an employee who was shopping for fruits during the break asked to borrow a knife from a colleague to cut off the damaged parts of a fruit. But the request was denied because not only was that employee asking as a customer, but also did not belong to the Produce Department and never received training in using knives to handle produce. However, not only did the employee not realize that was a violation of the company's regulations, but even got into an argument with the Produce Department colleague the next day, and was ultimately given disciplinary action.


The company took disciplinary action not only due to the controversial behaviour, but because of the individual's lack of safety awareness and failure to comply with safety-related policies and procedures, which resulted in personal and food safety hazards. In reality, a lot of seemingly simple jobs have their professional standards. Each employee must undergo professional training and authorization before using any appliances and equipment for the job.


The company's core values emphasize not only knowledge and efforts, but most importantly the understanding towards work safety rules and hidden dangers. Unsafe behaviour should be rectified immediately. Employees without necessary work safety training or knowledge should not accept the job. Not paying attention or adhering to safety policies may have serious consequences.
