不打沒準備的仗


作為電商部,光棍節可是我們一年一度的重要活動之一。公司在此期間會在網上推出吸引人的打折活動,這無疑會增加電商部的訂單量。因此,對電商部來說,無論是在人力的安排還是訂單交付給顧客的時間把控上,都提出了更高的要求。


加上近期電商部需要支援收銀部,因此很多管理上的工作,都落到了電商部門主任 Paul的肩上。在這個特殊時期,Paul臨危受命,主動承擔起了部門管理和協調工作,讓電商部門儘管在加單加量的情況下,無論是快速配送還是到店自提的fulfillment rate都達到了100%的優異成績。爆單?——小case。

能取得這麼好的成績,其實是早有準備,絕對不打沒有把握的仗。在光棍節的前一個月,Paul就領導同事開始嘗試各種方法來應對爆單的情況。從揀貨,到包裝,再到小空間的利用,外加一些突發情況比如網絡系統出現問題等等,電商部都準備好了應對方式。即便在爆單情況下,也能保證按時按點地完成所有訂單,使顧客的消費體驗達到滿分。


當然,這也離不開團隊成員的積極配合,大家相互理解,相互鼓勵,成就了電商部在這次光棍節的優秀成績。

自助結賬,不是自助逃賬


自從分店有了自助結賬收銀機之後,受到了大家的歡迎,不論是顧客還是員工,都可以自己動手,快速結賬,避免排長隊的苦惱。


但是,最近卻發現有員工在自助結賬時,有幾樣商品沒有掃描就直接放進購物袋中,渾水摸魚,把付款跟沒付款的商品一起拿走,離開了分店。這名員工已經被解雇了。


自助結賬,除了方便大家可以快速結賬之外,其實也是一種信任的表達,因爲一切商品都是由你自己動手掃描或選擇品名項目,以及最終付款,我們相信大家都會誠信操作。但是,卻還是有人濫用這種信任,把自助結賬當作可以自助逃賬的地方,殊不知分店的攝像頭已經清楚地記錄下一切。


誠信第一,不論在哪裏,都請切記不要抱著僥倖心理,因小失大。

Never fight an unprepared battle

As simple as it sounds, to avoid arousing suspicion is important especially at workplace. Do As part of the Fulfillment team, November 11th is one of the key events. There are series of promotion being released on our company website. This will significantly increase our orders. Therefore, the fulfillment team has raised the bar of expectation and deployed additional human resource to maximize the effectiveness on handling orders.


Moreover, Fulfillment department has been supporting Cashier department. The extra workload and responsibilities have been added to Paul’s shoulder, the Fulfillment Supervisor. Under such special circumstance, Paul has proactively taken on the extra duties on managing and operation. Despite having a big jump on the orders but Paul was doing his best in delegation to achieve 100% fulfillment rate on whether delivery and self pick up.

Having such great result, it all comes down to the proper planning and preparation. A week before November 11th, Paul has taken the lead on role playing with the team on how we properly react and handle the situation with increase g orders. From picking to packing, everything is being utilized to its max potential including a special event such as system shortage. Everything has been well planned and well executed, to make sure all orders can be completed on time and provide the best shopping experience to customers.


It all comes down to the teamwork, understanding and encouragement from everyone to achieve such result with the Fulfillment team.

Self-check out is not free check out


Since stores have introduced the self-check out counter, feedback has been positive whether from employees or customers. People can handle transaction themselves without being stuck in a long line up.


However, it’s brought to our attention that we have identified an employee was taking advantage of self-check out without scanning some of the products. Then unpaid products are being mixed with the paid products and left the store with it. This employee has been terminated immediately.


Self-check out is meant to be a quick and convenient solutions for shoppers, which is also a sign of trust because you get to do everything on your own and pay. We believe that integrity is important, and trust needs to be built. However, the system is being abused and taking advantage of. Don’t forget that there are CCTV capturing all this information.


Honesty comes first, no matter where you are and what you do. There are always consequences that people must be accounted for.
