As we continue to grow, I want to take a moment to acknowledge a significant accomplishment: the hiring of over 700 new team members in just 3 months! Can you believe it – our T&T big family is now over 7,600 people.
This herculean effort was made possible by our amazing HR and recruiting team as we prepare to open 4 new stores this quarter. The HR team has worked around the clock, ensuring we bring in the best people to our growing family. It’s a lot of travel, long hours, and careful decision making. They are the face of our company, and I am so proud of what they have accomplished.
Shout out to Jacqueline, Minnie, Anna, Cody, Jeremy, Winnie, Isabel, Kylie, Betty, Peter, Dominic, Kate, Griffith, Keke, Henry, Becky, Freda, Renee, Leo, Carmen, Joanne, and Veronica for your great work.

Sharing about the ESC Best Employee Award
JoJo Zhou – (ER Support Centre) Merchandising Department
I am honored to have received the 2023 ESC Best Employee Award, which is the highest affirmation of my efforts. Yet, I understand that no achievement is accomplished through the efforts of just one person.
In my 13 years at T&T, from starting as a junior accountant to joining the Merchandising Department and participating in nationwide projects, I've witnessed the culture of mutual support and cooperation, and the powerful synergy between departments working together.
I've been fortunate to lead the Merchandising Department's Admin team, where we've supported each other both professionally and personally. They are not only my best friends but also my strongest support. Our deep mutual support and collaboration bring joy to our work and happiness to our lives every single day!
T&T's culture of mutual support and collaboration is our greatest strength and drives efficiency. As a T&T employee, I'm proud to be part of this team! It's great to have T&T!
A reflection on "the pavilion by the river gets the moonlight first"
Human Resources Department
The expression "the pavilion by the river gets the moonlight first" highlights the advantage of proximity in gaining benefits. In our store, employees reserving products for themselves have been a recurring issue. They often use their position to put aside attractive, fresher, popular or scarce items for themselves, leaving customers with fewer choices.
But the more serious issue is that some employees not only reserve products for themselves, colleagues, or their families, but they're also tampering price tags for lower payments. This is in serious violation of our company's integrity principles and will not be tolerated. Besides termination, we also reserve the right to report to the police, which may affect immigration status. Recently, all employees at the store signed a declaration in the HR training system to uphold integrity and acknowledge they understand the consequences of rule violations. We urge everyone to follow these standards.
In our supermarket, exploiting one's position is unacceptable. Please do not reserve products for yourselves, colleagues, family or friends. Employees should shop like any customer, selecting items from shelves to ensure a fair, impartial and orderly shopping environment.
